The road to success was arduous, but the determined team didn't just face the challenges, it utilised them as stepping stones to advance further in its journey.


Founded, in 2009, as Genese-de-Strategie with the primary objective to edify students about the world of business strategies by Mr. Shailesh Gupta, Mr. Harsh Gupta and Mr. Sudipto Sannigrahi along with Ms. Srichandana Nagoji, Business Club has come a long way to be the business hub on campus and now boasts of a team comprising more than 50 highly driven dynamic individuals handpicked from the student population of IIT-Kharagpur


Indian Case Challenge (ICC)

Indian Case Challenge, first national level competition organised by Business Club was started off in this year.


Indian Biz Challenge

Indian Business Challenge was started off as Business Club’s first B-plan competition in this year.

It’s third edition, Indian Case Challenge 2014 was a spectacular success.

Affiliation under TSG

Affiliation under the Technology Students Gymkhana (TSG), IIT Kharagpur has been a milestone in the club's journey.


Financial Literacy Drive

The club’s first Financial Literacy Drive was conducted in this year.


Partnership with CIMA

The fourth edition of the Indian Case Challenge was a huge success. We also had the privilege to partner with CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) this time.


Business Club also collaborated with ZS Associates to organise a workshop on Consulting followed by an overnight Case-a-thon


G-BAC (Global Business Analytics Challenge)

Business Club, in a triangular partnership with IIM-Ahmedabad and SRCC, Delhi organized the first Global Business Analytics Challenge in the Global Millennium Summit. The Summit,held at Dubai, brought together students from the world’s leading universities and notable leaders from fields of governance, business, technology and academia .

Biz - Quiz

A new event “Biz Quiz” was also introduced along with the fifth edition of ICC for the first time which was aimed at quenching the thirsts of quizzards with questions from myriad range of topics pertaining to corporate and business world.

Partnership with RBI

An essay writing competition was organized and evaluated by the members of Business Club. The influence of fintech on increasing access in finance in India was a very relevant topic and a lot of innovative ideas were received.


Partnership with IBM

Business Club collaborated with the technology giant IBM’s black-box analytics tool SPSS to organize an awareness drive for data enthusiasts on campus. The event witnessed active participation of students from all backgrounds and eventually also served as a stepping stone of our healthy association with IBM.

Art and Science of Problem Solving

Sales and Marketing Consulting giant, ZS Associates joined hands with Business Club to organize an interactive session for the aspiring consultants of IIT Kharagpur. The unique case-solving approaches shared during the session gathered wide appreciation and the overwhelming turnout ended up setting new benchmarks for the club.
